People often fantasize about being left on a deserted island to get away from the craziness of life. Even I—“the pioneer of soul health”—needed a reminder that just a few hours away can dramatically change our demeanor and lead us back to a more grounded and balanced view of life.

We may long for an extended vacation, being snowed in for a few days, or any other kind of mental health break, but taking just a few hours away from the daily grind can help us recharge, restore, and rejuvenate.
